Compassionate care to fit your needs
Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) - Direct Primary Care (DPC)

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
The body works as a whole, with structure and function connected.
When something in the system is not working right — called somatic dysfunction — it can lead to pain, stiffness, and restricted movement.
This can happen after an injury, poor posture, stress, certain health conditions, or pregnancy.
Osteopathic doctors (DOs) use their hands with a treatment called Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) to improve movement, restore balance, and help you feel better.
Dr. Kelley Brinsky is an Osteopathic Physician board certified in Neuromuscular Medicine which is specializing in OMM.

FAQs
-
Osteopathic (DO) physicians play a vital role in healthcare, thanks to their unique approach that integrates a deep understanding of anatomy with the principles of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM).
Their extensive training in OMM equips them with hands-on techniques that are essential for diagnosing and treating various bodily dysfunctions.
This holistic focus empowers DOs to not only alleviate musculoskeletal pain but also enhance overall health and wellness.
Through individualized care, osteopaths create stronger connections with their patients, addressing not just the symptoms but the root causes of discomfort and promoting a path to healing.
-
While both DOs and chiropractors are trained to treat musculoskeletal issues, their approaches, training, and scope of practice are different:
Education and Training: DOs complete medical school, residency, and can specialize in any field of medicine
Osteopaths are fully licensed physicians who can prescribe medication, perform surgery, and treat a wide range of conditions
DOs integrate conventional medicine with hands-on Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT)
-
Osteopathic Manipulation: Mission Osteopathy does not bill insurance, but we will provide a Superbill that you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement for OMM.
Coverage for osteopathic manipulation varies by insurance plan, so we recommend checking with your insurance carrier for details.
Direct Primary Care: Primary Care services are a simple monthly membership. We do not bill or accept insurance for visits.
